Several instructors and students who are using CE6 links to software such as StudyMate Class Server, Wimba Classroom and Voice, or MyMathLab have encountered this error when accessing those links:
"HTTP 404 - Not Found Server Not Available"
We have been working to solve the issues, however, it is a randomly occurring issue that will not affect everyone at once, and does not appear to have a pattern that we at Edison Online, IT support, or Blackboard support can recognize.
Most times, by going back and clicking the link a second or third time, the issue will correct itself, and your or your students will obtain access. At other times, additional steps may be necessary. Please attach the following document to your course and/or distribute this guide to your students as needed. It details steps to take when encountering this issue.

This is a good time to discuss best practices in online course activities. Please consider that if you are trying a new activity for the first time: Implement a practice session or assignment to acclimate your students before attempting an activity for a significant grade.
